Pastoral Services
Healthcare is all about meeting people’s needs: physical, emotional, and spiritual. The Pastoral Care Services Department recognizes this and provides the following services to address the emotional and spiritual needs of the patients, the patient’s family and staff.
- Ethical consultation about treatment and end-of-life issues
- Bereavement/grief support group four sessions in English and Spanish
- Crisis intervention support
- Networking with local churches and spiritual care providers
- Prayer, ritual and sacraments
- Worship services
- Pastoral care education and training with the ministry volunteer program
- Spiritual assessment as part of a treatment team
- Support for staff on personal and professional issues
- Pastoral care services available after hour for emergencies
- Chapel available for prayer service by family or clergy requests (needs to be scheduled)
- “The Medicine of Compassion," video-training for staff
Religious Services Schedule:
- Catholic service - Saturday 3:00 p.m.
- Special Holiday Services to be announced
- The Chapel is located at the main entrance of the hospital and is open 24/7
