New visitor policies initiated
Updated Visitor Policy: Effective December 31, 2021
At Valley Regional Medical Center, we want to provide you and your loved ones with the best healthcare experience possible. We remain diligent in our fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) and the health and safety of our patients, caregivers and communities is our top priority.
At this time, we encourage family members to stay in touch with their loved ones virtually to stay connected from a distance. While we understand the importance of in-hospital patients having family members and loved ones by their side, the following visitor policy are necessary in order to best protect patients and those providing care.
Inpatient
One (1) visitor during the hours of 10:00am to 6:00pm daily.
Emergency Services
No visitors will be allowed with patients in the Emergency Department.
NICU, Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, and Pediatrics
One (1) visitor per patient during regular visiting hours and one (1) visitor to spend the night with patient.
COVID safety screening
All approved visitors:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must wear a facemask at all times while in the hospital.
- Must observe all hospital protocols and appropriate social distancing.
We appreciate your patience and support to help us maintain a safe environment for our patients, colleagues and care providers.
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
